AND NOT BEFORE TOO LONG......
First, may I apologise for the delay in announcing the winner of this competition. I won't bore you all with yet more detail about house moves and cardboard boxes, suffice to say, my attention got diverted.
My original plan had been to award a single prize to the best picture, and I still intend to do that. I have decided that I also want to award another, smaller prize to a second category.
Unfortunately, we had very few entries for the photography competition. Of those few entries, the majority were not of the resolution that we could use in the calendar. I know that the technical 'blah, blah' was a bit long-winded, but it was there for a reason! Because the calendar will be produced in full colour at A4 size, the images had to be at least 300 pixels density at that size or the images would have looked all grainy and vague, at best.
So, I am awarding the prize to the entrant who submitted a picture at the high resolution we required, and another for 'Good Pictures, low resolution'. And yes, I will tell you the winners before I write a book!
...but you'll have to go to the winners page to see:

Well done!
